1st DYMAT Student Camp

5 - 7 October 2010

Guéthary, France

1st DYMAT Student Camp

Objectives

The main objective of this colloquium is to provide  students and post-docs working in the area of dynamics and crash with a forum for scientific exchange and discussions about their research problems.

Several scientific themes are involved in the area of dynamics and crash, such as the identification of the behavior of material and structures under dynamic loading (impact, shock, high strain rate…), the durability of structures previously damaged by impact under loading cycles (study of damage tolerance), or the modeling of human tissues in the study of the behavior of pedestrians or vehicle passengers during automotive impact. This multidisciplinary research concerns also several domains such as transport (for people or goods) and civil or military safety.

Many researchers and PhD students work in this domain, using experimental, modeling and/or numerical simulation approaches.

This meeting is an opportunity for students and post-docs to present their research. Each student presentation (25 minutes) will be followed by a discussion period (20 minutes),  which will be led by well-known tutors and experienced persons in the field of interest Poster sessions will complete the scientific programme.
